What is your cancellation policy?
I require a minimum of 24 hours notice for nonemergency appointment cancellations and/or reschedules. Should you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before our scheduled time, you will be charged the full session fee. (Emergency situations are excluded.)
Do you only work with couples or families?
Currently, my practice is exclusively focused on supporting couples and families. With a foundation in systems-based education and training, I am dedicated to exploring and enhancing relationship dynamics.
What should I expect during my first session?
The first session is an opportunity for me to zoom out, and gain a global understanding of who you are and what has brought you to therapy. I ask a lot of questions that weave in and around your entire lived experience. It can be difficult to narrate our stories to a stranger, so I aim to follow the rhythms set by my clients during our initial session to enhance comfort.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much do sessions cost?
My current rate is $150 for 90-minute therapy sessions for both couples and families, and $130 for 60-minute therapy sessions for families with younger children. I reserve several slots for clients in need of sliding scale. Contact me for availability.
Do you take insurance?
At this time I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance. Please contact your insurance company for more information as to whether they allow partial payment to out-of-network providers. I am happy to provide a super bill monthly that you may submit to your insurance company.
Do you offer virtual and in-person sessions?
I offer both telehealth and in-person therapy sessions. While both are beneficial, I encourage clients to attend in-person sessions if circumstances allow. I find that being in the same room as my clients allows for enhanced connection and trust.
How often should I plan to meet?
At the beginning of our work together, I recommend meeting weekly or biweekly in order to establish trust, create a strong therapeutic relationship, and build momentum toward achieving your goals. As time progresses and you begin to experience relief from your initial challenges, we can work together to create a maintenance schedule that fits your needs.
